Welcome to Grey Mountain Housing Society

The Grey Mountain Housing Society (GMHS) began in 1983 as the “211 Housing Society”, initiated by members of Branch #211 of the Royal Canadian Legion.  The organization was formed to help provide affordable housing to low and moderate income community members.

GMHS is a registered charity and is not a governmental initiative or social housing agency.  We provide rent-geared-to-income housing to tenants who self-identify as Indigenous under the Canadian Mortgage Housing Corporation's (CMHC) Urban Native Housing Program, and affordable rental housing to eligible Yukon residents.

The first step in applying is to complete the Rental Inquiry Form.

When a suitable unit becomes available, you may be invited to submit a full application including identity, rental history, and income and asset information for all occupants. Applications remain active for 12 months, at which time you must update your information.

Agencies, on behalf of their clients, can contact us directly for an application at tenant.officer@gmhousing.ca.

GMHS looks forward to welcoming you to our housing community!
